euphonium and tuba fingering

Does the euphonium or baritone have the same fingering as a b flat tuba? Thanks in advance for the info.

A Bb euphonium or baritone is one octave higher than a BBb tuba. If you read bass clef for euphonium, you would have to use the same fingering a tuba would use, but a octave lower.

In example, this note would be 1 on a BBb tuba, but 1&3 on a euphonium.

The names of the notes remains constant, and the fingering pattern is the same.

Or if you wanna get techincal, you could still use 1&3, its just an alternate fingering. All the alternates are usually the same within an octave but they arent the most commonly used and may vary in intonation/tone quality

If you're still interested in tuba, consider an Eb or 3/4-sized BBb tuba. Less effort to play than the behemonths and you still get to sit in the bass section.
