Hey there. I've read on a few threads about shortening tubas, i.e. turning a Bb tuba to a C or an Eb to F. I can imagine how this can be useful somtimes. How is this done and what are the problems with this procedure?
For example, what's against turning a Bb sousaphone into C instrument?
