Looking for sousaphone photos

Post by Lew »

I have a King 4 valve Eb raincatcher sousaphone that is currently in Matt Walters' capable hands for repair. He has found a number of issues with the leadpipe area from where the neck attaches to where it connects to the valve cluster. We are looking for any photos that people might have of older 4 valve King Eb sousaphones, especially raincatchers and especially closeups of the leadpipe area, to make sure that any replacement parts that might be needed match the original. There is a link the same model sousaphone here:

but unfortunately this one has had the leadpipe replaced with Conn parts.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Yes that's it. I bought it from Kenton.

You might consider catalog drawings, too, like this and this. Sometimes they can be a good source, as well, if anyone has them!
