Tuba Goddess

Post by phoenix »

Is Carolyn Jantsch the girl who is really really really good, equivalent to Sumner Erickson when he was in high school, and won that international competition over seas? If not, what is the name of that person and where is she from?

She's an Interlochen scholarship winner, has an excellent resume for a 19-year-old, and just won at Markneukirchen, so she must be really, really (how many reallys was that?) good.

If she wins an orchestra gig within the next few months, then she'll have accomplished what Sumner Erickson did, except that she's already a year too old.

Carol actually came close. In addition to her other accomplishments, she was a semi-finalist for the Boston Symphony position last year.
