Flaming sousaphone on Leno tonight

Post by dunelandmusic »

What's up with that? Propane flames blowing out the top. Anyone see it?

Do a quick TubeNet or Internet search -- you can find a poor-quality video (at least when playing on my computer) that shows another performance by this guy.

I saw him last night. He seemed to have his flames turned lower than his video performance. Tonight show producers were probably afraid of another "Great White" flaming fiasco.
I was disapointed because his tuba playing on "Saints Go Marching In" didn't sound very good to me.

I think part of the problem was they didn't exaclty have him microphoned either. I could hear the sound blasting off the back of the audience area wall and coming back into a microphone.

Then again, who the hell cares. A flaming sousaphone gets my vote ANY day!
