You may also check "Studies in Legato" by Reginald Fink. They can be a good trainer for the Bordogni if your student isn't ready for that!

I'd go with the Rochut. You get basically the same package, with more, and it's tougher because you have to take it down an octave.

Depending upon the level of the student, you may want to go with the BEl Canto. You will avoid the possible frustration of reading down the otcave. On the other hand, if they are ready to read down the octave, go with the Rochut. You will use the book forever! It also helps to work with the Bel Canto down an octave or Rochut down 2 octaves.

Encore Music has the ENTIRE set of studies in the correct tuba octave for sale. For a high schooler, messing with transposition could get to be tricky business later down the road with pitch and octave recognition. It's expensive, but WELL worth the investment!!
