I thought it might be interesting to resurrect this old topic and see how things have changed.

Here's what I wrote in that older thread:

Holton BB-345 with (at the moment) a PT-48
York Master (BBb) with a Doug Elliott 132-2N-T-6, with a custom outer shank.
Miraphone 186 (BBb) with a Doug Elliott 132-2N-R-4
Yamaha 621 F tuba with either a Warburton custom or a Doug Elliott 132-2N-R-4, depending on mood.
Besson pre-Sovereign New Standard (?) comp. euphonium with a SM3 or SM4, depending on mood.

Since then, I have added a pre-Parantucci B&S Symphonie for when I need a large F, and I play it with a Finn MF-4. That experience has led me to use the MF-4 on my Yamaha 621, too.

And I dallied with a Laskey 30H on the Holton for a while, but I'm back to the PT-48.

I almost forgot the Conn 14K sousaphone, which I play with whatever mouthpiece is handy.

I've also added Olds Ambassador and Conn 48H trombones and a Fender Precision Bass Plus since that last writing.

As a Doc you would know, that less chocolate implies less energy to ones eyes.

How comes that things run off track, when we two are let loose on each other. After all you are an USasian low brass player. They are not supposed to own the gift of humour. Of course I could list a few not fitting within the general demographics, but they still are few.

With another boardmember things don’t go off track, but off truck. Schlepp that point home yourselves. With yet another boarder the wheelboats tend to strand at a certain point of the Nile.

My linguistic point might have had come better through, if I had spelled like this: USAsians (which has absolutely nothing with Asia to do, but is part of my nations way of handling words. New constellations are mandatory. I balked at one point: I knew a Somalian woman by the name of Aisha, who wanted her name spoken like Asia. I refused. Naming a well-upholstered lady after a continent was too much even for my lack of diplomacy. So I said Aïsha).

German chocolate is great. That was where I got my taste for it. At least at industrial levels it is better than Danish chocolate. However the Belgians and the Swiss are better in mass-produced chocolates. Feodora is just a sample. And to my knowledge that name is Russian.

I could tell some chocolate stories, but don’t tempt me.
