Suggestions on Rounded Rim F MPC

I'm currently playing on a Bobo Solo Replica, but for me the rim is a bit to sharp. I'm looking for a more rounded rim for an F mouthpiece. If you're interested, I play on a PT-50+ for my CC piece. Thanks for the suggestions.

Ideally, I would like to just go somewhere and try a ton of different ones, but I don't currently have the means, and I might find something good for sale.

I play a PT-65 on my F...what horn do you play on? I have used mine on a school owned PT-15 for a couple years and now on my alexander. I have also played on numerous f tubas and feel it is a pretty good fit with most horns...it depends on the kind of sound you want as well (more color, more c tuba like, etc.)...I play a PT-50 on my 2145 as well, so this may be a good fit for you. Oh yeah, it might be helpful to know what I'm playing on. I'm using the schools Meinl Weston 45 rotary (bah!) tuba.

I play a PT-50+ for CC and a PT-65 for F. The transition isn't difficult when required to switch midpiece. The two rims feel similar to me. I play on a Gronitz PF 125 F tuba, which is a piston, but I've used it on a Miraphone Firebird with good results.

If you find the PT-65 still too sharp, try the PT-64, which has a cushion rim. If you want to go up in size slightly, the PT-66 is the stretched version of PT-64 with the enlarged cushion rim. ThePT-80 is also very comfortable to play (and is my personal favorite) and is the largest of the three.
Another very comfortable mouthpiece for F tuba is the Dillon PS (Pat Sheridan) S3. It will remind you of Pat's sound within a few min. of playing it.

Schilke 69C4 is also has a very comfortable rim yet has enough inside bite to help articulate clearly; it is somewhat similar to the rim of Bobo Solo's but more rounded, the rim on the Bobo solo is flatter, I don't know if that helps you any.

PS I have had good experience with all but the PT-66, and that's because I have not played it. Maybe I shouldn't recommend something that I have not played, but maybe I should not (edit) recommend something that I have played, either.

I have found that on my older, smaller bore B&S F (and on a school-owned MW 45), the Miraphone C3 is a GREAT mouthpiece. A friend of mine was learning F on the Meinl and having problems with the low register--surprise, surprise?! But the C3 instantly cleared up her problems and really opened up what was once thought to be a 'tight' instrument.

as CKTuba said, the G&W AB F (original). Rims don't come any rounder than that! (and the low range seems better than many other F mouthpieces, too
regular ol' C4 is pretty round, too

Schilke Helleburg or the Helleburg 7B; they both work great on smaller horns

The Yamaha Bobo Symphonic (very C4-ish) has a pretty round rim as does the Yamaha Jim Self, Miraphone C4 aka TU23, Schilke 69C4.

All of the above are really cheap new (around $60) with the exception of the Miraphone. Cheaper used.

You might point out what rims you actually like (other than the PT-50). Lots of folks have lots of mouthpieces. If you can point out other rims you like, maybe somebody can point you to a similar rim. I never considered the PT50 rim to be very round but I sold the one I had years ago.
