Whatever you come up with, try to hook up with a company the doctors and hospitals have heard of. I had Rural Letter Carriers Insurance plan for years with the post office and had providers refuse it because they were not familiar with it. Switching to Blue Cross solved the problem.

I worked for an insurance company this year while I was studying for my quals. You should check into the Humana One insurance. If I needed personal health insurance, they would be the most reliable.

I tried going through an online service for Life insurance and while I was shopping around one company actually started sending me bills. Apparently, I signed up for the policy when I requested rates. I had to call and cancel that ASAP.
