If the engraving looks like this:

then it is a St. Pete.
The .jpg is hand drawn by Sven Bring of Stockholm, our fellow TubeNet’er. Actually it is his avatar, which I have pilfered.
Sven has a St. P BBb, which has had some valve problems, as he bought it out of Russia without the German linkage conversion.
I tend to agree, that the tuba in question is a St. P, but not the original pre-2000 version.
However I am not able to tell which of these versions it is:
The German revision.
The North Carolina revision.
The post-2002, or so, Russian revision.
