Tuba Quartet Music - Opinions Please

Post by BassBlatt »

Hello all,

I need to find some new tunes for our tuba quartet. I was wondering if yall wouldn't mind posting your favorite tuba/euph quartets.

I have tried out some new music, and as you know, some arrangers just don't know how the tuba/euph quartets work. So in your experience, please tell me what pieces of music you know that work well for this setting.

Thanks in advance.

Hi BassBlatt,

On my website:

http://www.cimarronmusic.com/

you will find over 200 tuba quartets. Many have .pdf or .mp3 samples to help in your decision making process.

Several of the arrangers or composers frequent TubeNet: David Werde, Larry Zaidan, Kent Eshelman, Tim Olt, Me (Bryan Doughty), Ken F., Stephen Shoop, Ray Grim, etc.

My apologies if I forgot someone, but is getting late here!

If you happen to receive the ITEA magaine, several were reviewed in the most recent issue.

Please email if you have questions on specific charts.

Wihsing you well,

Pretty much everything off of the Sotto Voce CD's should work, especially the one of John Stevens's quartets.
