Alan Baer in my Paper

Post by prototypedenNIS »

Winnipeg Free Press had an article about Alan Baer and his Iron butt (or something like that). It was talking about his cross country trips on his motorcycle with his Tuba strapped to his back (photo included).

Pretty cool.

New Breed, Old Breed! It doesn't matter so long as it's the Marine Breed!

1800+ miles from New York City to Vail, CO. Article says it took 16 hours. That is an AVERAGE of 117mph. Not taking into account rest stops, gasolene, and food.

He must have started out somewhere else, or the article maybe meant 26 hours?

i see nothing in this post

there is an Iron Butt run every 2 years i think, 10,000 miles in 10 days. they are just inferring he rides alot and he does.

there is nothing better than going across country on a motorcycle.

not all the articles from WFP are free online, but I was banking on it being a commonly shared news article and that someone else would be able to find it.
