What is with Patrick Sheridan?

Post by ubq »

It is just interesting that one of the best tubaplayers did not attend in ITEC Denver, and not in ITEC Budapest two years ago. Why? What happened to him?

Thanks

Exactly why do you feel he is obligated to attend? There could be many possible reasons why he would not.

I dont feel obligated... I'm just wondering, because he is one of the best tubists... and he used to attend at other conferences, thats why I'm asking this. Cheers

couldn't it be as simple as "he's got a gig?"

I haven't been to a conference in years, simply because I seem to always have a playing gig at the same time. As long as the gig is "worthwhile" (and how that is defined is subject to debate)that's a higher priority, at least for me.
sorry, I don't do signatures.

Could be mistaken, but I believe he and Sam had a DCI gig out in Southern California that week.

Pat has been sponsored by Besson. We all know that Besson has been down the tubes these days, they have not been exhibiting as much as in the past. They are not sending as many people they sponsor to shows. Probably Besson was not going to pay to get Pat at these shows - why should he pay his own freight especially when there is a paying gig to do?

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

I agree, he was probably just busy, and going to those conferences can add up to a lot of money sometimes.

You could email him, I've emailed him a few times and he always responds, but he knows my teacher pretty well.
