There are several Tuba-totin' Texans who monitor this site. Hopefully you can get some ideas shortly regarding a teacher. (which is a great approach).
There are numerous recommended books for scales/etudes/warmups/etc. You might try using the "search" function (up above, towards the top/middle of your screen. But if you're just getting started, anything will do -- you might even check your local music store for high-school level books that feature various scales and etudes.
But searching this site for posts about "practice" "exercises" etc will yield numerous suggestions.

Hey! I resemble that remark! If you read bass clef, it's not that big a deal. As a freshman in high school, I volunteered to march with a souzy. My director gave me a souzy, and the music, and told me bottom of staff F was open and Bb was open, and that I could figure it out from there. A week later I performed my first show, but that's a whole different story. 
1) relax the embouchure but keep corners firm.
2) think volume and flow as much or more than velocity of air
3) download the fingering chart under the tips link at the top of the page
4) start with long middle register tones and work your way from there.
5) HAVE FUN! I've played a lot more gigs and a lot more fun gigs on tuba/souzy than I ever would have sticking to trumpet only.
