I have been told that in Brazil CC tubas are the standard instrument; That's why Werils in CC are still available. The Weril catalog also lists valve trombones in C. I am wondering if they make CC sousphones down there? (I wouldn't want one myself, but I know that some of you guys would be interested.)
I may be wrong but he appears to be playing an Eb Sousaphone.
Amongst aviators it is often said that any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. It's an even better landing when you can reuse the airplane.

It was a stool, and that WAS something!

Unfortunately I don't have a video camera, or boy howdy, I'd have "Mary Had a Little Lamb" up in no time!!

JediMaster, I had to look again to notice the tuba(sousaphone). Yep. I'd buy that album.

The guy's name *appears* to be Marcelo Cego. Couldn't find much on him web-wise. Anyone got info on him?

I'm not sure if its for real or not, but whoever is playing, can definately do just that. To me it sounds alot like Tommy Johnson, but I could be wrong. The tune is awesome though, great sound.

Really Old stuff: Bandas Sinaloenses: Musica Tambora (Arhoolie)
Classic to New Stuff: Banda Sinaloense El Recodo De Cruz Lizarraga: Coleccion RCA 100 Anos de Musica (RCA)

The tuba player with Recodo now is named Carlos Soto Beltran aka Jokoki. Image
