Walt Johnson has been frustrating me tremendously... Their phone doesn't work, their fax doesn't work, and I've had nothing but problems with their email responses. Now, they told me my cases would be delivered on August 28th. I received one of them on August 29th, and my tuba didn't fit. I recieved the second case today, September 6th, and that tuba doesn't fit either.
SO, my question is - if I end up returning the cases altogether (as opposed to getting them fixed/altered), what other options for hard cases do I even have?! I have no idea where else to get a case outside of Custom Music where I bought the tubas.
I have a piston PT-6 and a rotary PT-15.

The reason I mention this is because when I got my WJ case a few years ago my first reaction was: It doesn't fit!
But when I called Walt - at the time he was giving out his cell phone - he explained to me that they were designed to be a tight fit and he talked me through settling the tuba into the case - and voila - it fit!
So my suggestion is to give him a chance before you give up. No guarantee that it will work, but it can't hurt.
The cases really are great - the only problem I have had is with the wheels, but Walt has sent me replacements when the airlines destroyed them.

Thanks for the help, I'll have to talk to him I guess. The case for my F tuba is like 2 inches shorter than I told him, though, so we'll see when I talk to him.
