MW 2182 For sale, I mean it this time!!!!!

Post by Chris Olka »

Ok guys, sorry for those of you that were interested last time but I have finally decided to sell this horn for real. As I saw someone who posted a horn for sale say....it is a great horn but I fell in love with another;-)

This is the second one imported into the United States and was made specifically for me by Meinl Weston. It is a great f tuba. Low and high registers are very even and responsive and intonation is very good. It is in excellent condition with one small pea-sized dent in the whole horn. It is lacquered and the valves and slides work great. I have used it extensively in the Seattle Symphony and Opera orchestras as well as numerous recording sessions. I initially was going to sell it before the Denver ITEC but after going to the ITEC and trying all of the 2182s and other f tubas at the show decided not to. This horn is a great axe. If you are looking for a great piston valve f tuba this is it. Price is $6,000 firm. I can possibly throw in an Altieri gig bag for a quick sell. I am leaving the country in 10 days and will be gone for 3 weeks so if you are interested email or call ASAP, otherwise it will be a while until I can send it out.
All the best and apologies for wasting everyone's time the last go round.
