FED EX SUCKS!!!
So I won a fleabay auction,
it was sent by way of Fed Ex:
1. shipped on sep 12 From Colorado
2. arrived in Georgia (Ellenwood south side of Atlanta) on Sep15
3. arrived in Norcross Georgia (North side, not too far from my house) Sep 16 was supposed to be at my house on that day
4. Arrived at Norcross location (again, how does that happen) on Sep 18
5. Sep 19 am shipped to Ellenwood/ shipped back to Norcross (am still) that evening it arrived again in Norcross????
6. Sep 20 am arrived in Ellenwood, shipped back to Norcross
NEVER ONCE HAVE THEY ATTEMPTED TO DELIVER IT TO MY HOUSE!!!
Which means that even if I wanted to go to Norcross to pick it up, I CAN'T BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T MADE A DELIVERY ATTEMPT YET! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
SCREW FED EX!
sorry,
had to get that out,
Bill

I agree. Fortunately, it wasn't for the office where I work, but a FedEx delivery driver sat in our parking lot with a misaddressed parcel not knowing what to do for the longest time.
Punt FedEx. Use DHL instead. They got their start shipping fresh flowers from Hawaii to the West Coast, so they know it must be done right the first time. That's how my tuba arrived, in great shape on time.

Joe's right. I'll take UPS over Fedex ground every time. Fedex air is an entirely different operation and quite reliable. Fedex ground is the old RPS with newly-painted trucks but the same old policies.
With all respect to those DHL recommenders, DHL domestic is nothing more than the old Airborne Express. Not too awful, but not up to the DHL international service.
There's been a lot of consolidation in common carriers over the last decade and choices are getting more limited.

Try living anywhere in the state of Wyoming and paying for next day shipping through Dell (it said I was getting FedEx) and waiting 12 days because DHL doesn't deliver in Wyoming (except for Casper). They let it sit in a holding room somewhere in Denver until they decide to send it through the post office. This takes an average of 8 days.iiipopes wrote:Punt FedEx. Use DHL instead.
I also waited an extra week for my tuba because it was in town and they wouldn't deliver it until they got a full load for their delivery truck. To be fair, the tuba was 5 years ago.
Punt DHL too,
Sou

For domestic shipments.... Go Greyhound. Competitive rates, quick, and reliable service. You don't need bomb-proof packing, either. Their freight is moved from bus to bus on a handcart. NO conveyor belts or hub terminals. About the only downside is that you have to take the package to the terminal on your end and the customer has to pick it up at the terminal on his end. Their liability limits are a little light but with their reliability, it's worth taking a chance. You can always insure an expensive horn privately.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
