I'm like you. I don't need to practice either--unless, of course, I want to play well. I don't know much about the world-class sound, but I know that every time the politicians in our city want us to ante up for big bucks, they talk of turning our city into a world-class city. When combined with a meaningful, "do it for the kids," who could possibly say no.tubaboy2005 wrote:Oh gee...Do you think so? I practice about 30 minutes a week and it really kicks my butt. I dont need to practice that much though because my teacher says I have a world-class sound. I think its because I play a Yorkbrunner. What do you play? A Besson?

UNT Euphoniums well-represented at Texas Regional ITEC
Congratulations to doctoral candidates Brian Meixner and Mitsuru Saito, who both played exemplary recitals at the Texas Regional ITEC in Lubbock. Congratulations also to the High Tension Euphonium Quartet (comprised of Lauren Veronie '05 and masters candidates Chris Buckley, Jamie Lipton, and Jeremy McBride) and the Vortex Tuba Quartet (includes doctoral candidate Brian Meixner) for their fine performances.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

So is tubaboy2005, actually the fourth member of the group, Jeremy McBride? And he is congratulating his fellow members?
Going off of previous posts that he has made, I finally get to match a name to the idiocy, hooray for beer!

I just want to say I don't know who tubaboy is, nor do I understand his enthusiasm, but it is definitely not Jeremy McBride. He doesn't post on this board and he's definitely not the kind of guy that would make "tubaboy" posts. I just don't want anyone getting the wrong impression of him. Tubaboy, thanks for the praise, keep practicing.
