try Edward Gregson's concerto grosso , written in the 1970's there is a recording on Gregson Vol 2 ( Doyen Label) peformed by the Black Dyke Band , If I remember tho it could be trumpet , horn , trombone and Euph as the soloists , but it's a brilliant piece of music.

SorabjiFan,
Is it just the quintet part that is hard, how are the band parts?
Are there any recordings of it?
I really like what I have heard from Derek Bourgeois and I know our group would be up to the challenge and I'm pretty sure the Brass Band could pull it off too.
thanks,
Bill
