Bob:

If you go to the Dillon site and click on "Videos", there are three clips, including one of Howard Johnson playing the new tuba. There's also a narrative by Howard and clip of Gerhard Meinl and Steve Dillon commenting.

When I last spoke with Jay, about two weeks ago or so, he said that the first production batch is not expected in until sometime in October (or November, or Dec . . .).

There are three variations on the 2011: a 4 valve top-action, a 4 valve front action piston, and a 4 valve rotary. The bore is something like .669", the bell is 17.3", and the height is about 36". Matt W. says it's about the size of the MW Eb horn..

The few folks who have played one of the prototypes to date rate it highly. There have been a few threads on this here - you may want to search on "Howard Johnson".

Some people are always looking to try to "compensate"...

(sorry, couldn't stop myself)
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
