Chester Schmitz Masterclass at Eastman

Chester Schmitz, former principal tuba of the Boston Symphony, will be giving a masterclass at the Eastman School of Music, 26 Gibbs Street Rochester, NY 14605, on Sunday, October 8 from 7:30 to 9:30 in the evening in room 305.

Thanks to Don Harry and everyone at Eastman for a great time. It was really nice to meet all of you!! What an amazing time! Thanks again!

Thanks to Andy and all who came in to see Chester. That was the first packed house we've had at a tuba event during my (brief) time at Eastman.

And, of course, thanks to Chester for coming in, there was much to be learned from him!

Yeah, it was definately worth the 6 hour drive to see him and talk to him!!!

(maybe not worth the speeding ticket I got on the way back though... that was baaaaad)
