Nilton folding music stands?

Does anyone have first hand experience with this Swedish made music stand?

There are two versions, the regular (music desk does not fold) and the "Magic" (folding music desk). Both can be purchased with carrying bags (cheaper if bought with the stand). My preference would be for the fixed-desk model.

These are available from Shar Music, Ann Arbor MI, which has a good reputation in the string community. Of course, they do sell violas . . .

For a little more, you can get a Desca stand that features the same base as the Baltimore Brass Tuba Rest. The stands are also sold at Baltimore Brass.

As luck would have it, I have seen the two side by side. I recently bought a Baltimore Brass tuba rest and was setting up the base of the stand. The bass bone player next to me was getting his horn and stuff together and was assembling his Desca stand at the same time. Identical bases. I really like the low, secure structure of the three legs and the spring loaded locking system, so seeing a music stand with the same system was a bit of a surprise and treat.

If I hadn't already invested in a Manhasset Voyager and a Peterson stand, I'd be buying one of the Desca stands. It does collapse into a very managable size and appears extremely stable.
