Quadrouple tonguing?

If your friend wants to invent fancy names for his techniques, more power to him. But I've never heard of it before. You don't ever need more than three tongues, so to speak, to play anything fast, and your friend is probably talking about some sort of accenting technique that he creates with extra burst of air (which is not anything special).

Get someone to do one of those wierd techniques other than the standard double and tripple tongues on his or her instrument, perhaps in some sort of auditorium, and go to the very back of the auditorium and listen to it. Then, have him do it that "right" way.
