I usually start off with coffee... then switch to tea later in the day... cafeteria doesn't have a charge for hot water at the university.

tea seems to irritate my stomach less.

But tea is so easy to microwave for the ride to work...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Tea no milk , either chilled or hot , one sugar lump and a slice of lemon..enough vit C to wake up the dead :)
heres a question for you gents , on the times I have come over to the states I drank Mountain dew ( bright yellow drink) and root beer ( which is ace) can't get it over here in the UK , the only type of root beer is an australian drink from Bundaberg which is ok but not as good as the stuff you get in the good ol' US of A.....saying that the last time I came over to the US I couldn't find root bier or mountain dew anywhere...did drink a lot of cinamon coke.
still the best drink for a concentrated hit is , strong tea , 2 teaspoons of natural honey , 1 lime..infuse for a bit and leave to chill....bliss try it , it's really good for strained vocal chords and sore throats

I've never had a problem finding root beer altogether, although you might not find it in a smaller convenience store.

Next time you're here, you might want to try a grocery store - the type with an entire aisle devoted to soft drinks in 2-liter plastic bottles.

If you'd like some mountain dew or rootbeer, I'm sure the american population here would be glad to ship you some.

My buddy from New Zealand told me that they never have maple syrup in his country.
He got to like it in the U.S.A.. I mail him a quart every Christmas.
They don't have ketchup either. They put tomato sauce on fries (chips).
They also put pinapple on pizza-oogie!
At least they have coffee.

You've never heard of Hawaiian-style pizza? Canadian bacon or ham & pineapple; no tomato sauce. Very popular on the US left coast. You also occasionally see salmon pizza (both fresh and smoked) here in the PNW.

Well, I am physically addicted to Diet Pepsi. Doesn;t even taste that good, but I can't stop drinking it.

When I want a good amount of caffeine, I go to the local A+ or 7-11 to get me a good bottle of Jolt Cola or Bawls, Jolt being the top choice, seeing its the same price as Bawls, you get 3x as much, and 150 mg of caffeine, twice as much as Bawls. But Bawls has the best taste!

I thought rootbeer was caffeine-free.
Are there rootbeers that have caffeine?

My drug of choice is espresso. Not as high of a caffeine concentration as brewed coffee, but it allows me to get-the-titre "right" and FAST!!

My Home Espresso Rig......using fresh (<5 days old) beans from Counter Culture Coffee. The ol' Isomac Mondiale makes fabulous coffee beverages.........Starbuck can't even come close on a good day.
beta 14??..........OK!

Coffee!

Especially Turkish style (boiled and very strong).

NoDoz.

I had what I think was Turkish coffee in a very good, very small, middle-eastern restuarant here. When I ordered it the owner said "you want to wake up?" and I said yes.

It came in this little bitty cup, with the grounds in the bottom, had just enough sugar so that it wasn't bitter but still wasn't sweet. I took more than a half hour to sip all of it and was high as a kite the entire time. Talk about caffeine! And the restuarant is fab too.

Mary Ann,

That is the stuff (Turkish coffee). When I am in Romania visiting family and friends we drink something like that in bigger cups (similar to a standard coffee cup size in the USA), often with every meal.
