Meinl Weston 45SLP w/ flight case

Post by bttmbow »

Hi, all.

I have a lacquered 45SLP that I have decided to sell. I picked it out of about eight SLPs at Dillon Music about three years ago. I had had my heart set on a silver one, but this one just played and sounded the best to me. My reasons for selling it are mostly financial, and I know I am going to miss it. It sounds great in the orchestra, and I know the next time we do Tannhauser or any Berlioz, I'll be kicking myself!

$7000 w/ flight case.

If I can find some time, I'll take some pictures of it, but these pictures will be about the same as looking at a picture of a new one.

There are maybe three or four tinyass dents on the horn, not too obvious. Also, it has had no bell crumples or bottombow "whoops-kerthunks" happen to it.

Oh, if you really want/need pictures soon, nag me by email,

Bump for Chris...

I heard Chris play the Berlioz "Harold in Italy" with the MET Orchestra at Carnegie Hall a couple of years ago on this tuba - he sounded fantastic on it - great tone, presence and projection.

$5000 for the horn alone
$5500 w/ flight case,
otherwise somebody will have to pay Dillon Music that much plus their commission.

Hey, I'm looking for an F. I'm in Montreal right now so I'm just around the corner. Maybe I'll drop by and give it a try? You can e-mail me at alexander.macdonald2@mail.mcgill.ca

I would keep this horn if I could, but I just got a new CC that I need to pay for somehow. There will be more for sale soon, and NO!...the Mini Cooper S is gone, sadly.

Arrggh!
