Instrument Case

Post by Daniel8802 »

Hey guys ... I'm new here. Sorry if this isn't the right place to post. I'm a proud owner of the Yamaha 842S euphonium. My case has gotten a little beat up with scuf marks. Does anyone have any tricks up their sleaves to remove them? Thanks!

haha Hi Daniel.......................WHO CARES lol your horn doesnt have scuff marks...............ur fine, thats what its there for. Its obviously doing its job. mine has tons of scuff marks too but I understand you want to remove them. ......I cant help you with that lol.....the only thing i can think of is redoing a patch or some kind of filler/paint/buff which seems really difficult to me.

Look at it like a football helmet? They take pride in their scratches & scuffs. It's proof they've been working... Silly football players!

I expect you can get it from any auto parts store. Perhaps Wal-Mart, too! It should do a good job of getting rid of scuffs.

One word of caution.... don't use this stuff on your motorcycle seat!

My motorcycle mechanic recommended Armorall for all surfaces on my old Yamaha 400 but it would make the seat so slick you would slide right off.
I wonder if shoe polish would hide scuffs if you could get it to color match?
We pronounce it Guf Coast

scuff marks???

If it's a black case, use a black permanent marker (either fine point or a BIG one, depending on the size of the marks). If it's brown, well, and feel like taking a chance...

Heck, if my memory's good, don't use 'em on auto bench seats, either... unless you want to see your passengers up close & personal when you turn a corner...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
