Updated!!! Mouthpieces For Sale

Post by smurphius »

Greetings fellow Tubenetters!!

I have three mouthpieces for sale.

** Perantucci PT-50+ - used - insertion marks on shank, and one small nick in the rim (unfelt by the lips) - I used this mouthpiece for a few years, and it looks like it, but still a fantastic mouthpiece. This is the megatone + version, not the regular sized. Going for $70.00!!! SOLD

**Yamaha Roger Bobo Replica - slightly used - some insertion marks on shank, that's about it - Going for $40.00 SOLD

**Yamaha Jim Self - barely used - minimal insertion marks on shank - Going for $45.00

Cost is $5.00 to ship Priority Mail. I'll pack these things better than if I were packing my grandmother!!

Merry Holidays!!

The Bobo Solo is a very small (in my eyes) bass tuba mouthpiece. With the cut of the rim and shape of the cup, it provides a very good, clear articulation in all registers. For me, the downside was the rim was too sharp for me.

The Jim Self is actually a medium sized mouthpiece that could potentially work on either contrabass or bass tuba. From what I understand, Jim Self prefers to only use one mouthpiece rather than switch mouthpieces when switching instruments, hence the making of this mouthpiece. It was also a pretty clean articulating mouthpiece, but provided a darker tone on the same Meinl Weston 45 F tuba as with the Bobo.

Hope that helps!!

For everyone, the Bobo and PT-50+ are on hold, waiting on payment talks. Thanks!!
