Have you tried any of the websites? www.wwbw.com generally has several horns in their outlet area, including if I were looking within your price range, this Cerveny.

wwbw also might not be too far from you, as they are located in northern Ind. They also have some VMI horns listed in the outlet. I have to say I know nothing about VMI's, so I can't help there, but Cerveny's are nice horns. I currently have a 5/4 CC on loan from a friend so I can figure out the fingerings, and I'm really beginning to like it.
I would also recommend trying www.dillonmusic.com as they generally have around 20+ used horns available. If nothing else, both sites have nice pictures and descriptions.
