I stopped using IE because of problems and spyware issues so I switched to Mozilla Firefox and I've been happy since. I'm sure more people will respond with the same experiences...

Good Luck, Tim :D

I should add that I do keep IE around for the occasional webpage that doesn't like Firefox... But after my visit to the webpage is over, I shut IE down and go back to Firefox...

This is what you're looking for: a Firefox add-on that opens links with the IE engine, but within Firefox. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/

Being a Macintosh user who doesn't like to use Windows, I wouldn't know about this:

Depends on what kind of email you are using, but Microsoft webmail on the latest Microsoft Exchange server will not work on Microsoft IE7 unless the sysadmin installs a patch on each server. There are also patches that must be installed on Microsoft web servers and other Microsoft servers if different forms of authentication are used.

Kinda sad when Microsoft can't make their browser compatible with their own servers. Once the servers are patched everything seems to work fine.

I remember when Windows NT first came out. It was presented as an OS that was hardware-platform independent and indeed, there were versions for Alpha and MIPS and PPC CPUs, in addition to the Intel ones.

The alternate architecture support gradually sloughed off until Windows 2000, when the only processor family supported was Intel.

Of course, even Apple is on the Intel CPU, now.

Makes me kind of sad.

Well, where do you think they got the idea for the Borg?
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
