I still have the Marlin, but I haven't tried to test its limits. Probably won't. Besides, I'm getting old.

I had an M-1 Garand in boot camp that kicked like a mule. A day on the rifle range - shooting jacket or no - would have my right shoulder barking at me. The armorer tried to fix it but wound up issuing me another M-1.
We pronounce it Guf Coast

I finally found out the law in my province for a rifle to be considered a firearm under the criminal code (before ..or should i say WITHOUT using it for a criminal act), it must have a muzzle velocity of 500 fps +. There is a nice ironsight bb/pellet combo at Wal Mart at 450 fps, and a few others.............(out of my use/price range). Now all I need is to convince my parents (or my brother.) Or someone over the age of 18 to get one for me :D lol.

Here is Peter Billingsley today. The glass eye looks pretty good, doesn't it?

I bought a Smith and Wesson SW40F at Walmart for that purpose for less than $50. It's a semi automatic on a 45 ACP frame that shoots a 6mm plastic air soft pellet at 300+fps. It is powered by a gas cartridge and fires 35 times as fast as you can pull lthe trigger. Cats, dogs, sqirrels, rats, etc., just hate it. At close range it leaves quite a whelp, but will not break the skin or your windows. It's only accurate up to about 30 feet although it will shoot up to 100ft. You won't hit on every shot but heck, you've got 35 chances.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.
