Giardinelli or Alexander?

Post by tbn.al »

"The great Alexander Instrument Making Comapny made these tubas."

Did they now? Quinn is usually a pretty upstanding guy. Is this legit?

I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

I for one do not commonly accept that. I respectfully disagree. Personally, I think that's mis-information.Image

Just 'cause "somebody who plays an Alex and loves his Alex is sure those B&S stencils are copies of Alexanders because he's thinks the picture looks close" doesn't necessarily make it so.

While there are nuances that tuba players would notice, most rotor BBb tubas look the same. Miraphone 186 BBbs look like Alexanders from a distance. In all honesty, to most everyone but tuba players, all tubas look the same.

IMHO, the B&S stencils play so much better than Alexanders, it's not even funny. Image Poke poke poke ....

Everybody knows that Alexanders are Cerveny copies anyway. :-P Image Poke poke poke ....

Yeah, I actually found it quite interesting and went back to read it again.
