Hello all!
The BBBC will be playing in Michigan on March 23 and then on to Florida. Would be happy to meet any tuba and euphonium players. The section this go round is:
Euphs- Steven Mead, Matt Tropman
Baritones- Demondrae Thurman, Gail Robertson
Eb Tubas- Marty Erickson, Ben Pierce
BBb (CC really) Tubas- Phil Sinder, David Zerkel
Should be fun! The personnel roster for this band is kind of sick... you can't knock the smile off my face when the band is playing! For details visit http://www.bbbc.net
Here is the Florida itinerary. Please drop me an e-mail if you have any questions.
Sunday, March 25- Naples Philaharmonic Hall. 8PM
Monday, March 26- Naples, the Phil. 10 AM.
Miami, Carnival Center for the Performing Arts. 8PM
Tuesday, March 27- West Palm Beach, Kravis Center. 11 AM, 2PM
Wednesday, March 28- Lakeland Performing Arts Center. 7PM
Hope to see you there!

I'll be there at the Kravis Center for the March 27th, 11 AM concert. I'm really looking forward to it! When I first tried to get tickets about 6 or 8 weeks ago, all I could get were seats in the 'nose-bleed' section or balcony -- last row balcony for the 2 PM -- or front row balcony 11 AM (I chose the 11 AM show). Then about 2 weeks ago I checked online for availability of seats and found 3 seats center section of orchestra in row DD! (4 rows from the stage... maybe a bit close, but MUCH better than balcony). I jumped on these seat and then got a refund for my balcony seats. They must have had a few cancellations. I'm planning on bringing my good friend Bill Wells -- who is Bill and & Jim Grays uncle (founded the BBBC).
I'll be sure to say hello David at the break if I get the chance David.

Bueller?
Anyone from the Chicago area want to carpool over to Battle Creek,MI on Friday afternoon to hear the March 23rd concert at 7:30pm? It's about a 3 hour drive so leaving Chicago no later than 3pm would be the plan (we lose an hour in time difference). E-mail me at: jhicks54@hotmail.com

Hi all,
Hope some of you can join us! Should be a good program. The conductor distributed fingering charts afyer yesterday's rehearsal so today things should be much better!
One note for those who may come from CHI ... we're getting pretty low on seat availability so why don't you email me to let me know if you plan on coming to ensure you can get in.
Thanks
Matt Tropman
