Alexander 163 4v CC

Post by J.c. Sherman »

FOR SALE: Alexander 163 4-valve CC tuba. This is an incredible tuba, in great shape, and about 27 years old. Tuba is unlacquered, metal ball-and-socket valve linkages, main slide throw-rod (though I’ve never used it), first slide stop-rod. It’s been in the hands of some fabulous players, but I have two Alex CCs, so I have a redundancy. This will make any Alex lover thrilled! Comes with heavily-padded gig bag and mouthpiece adapter for the large receiver. $5,000 takes it home, shipping included - extra outside the lower 48. Pictures on request. :-)

How does someone post a picture here? I would gladly do so with a teeny bit of guidance :-)

Basic instructions for pictures (which I would love to see, too!)

Picture posting instructions

1. Host picture somewhere (like photobucket.com) since it needs to be online to be posted
2. Copy and paste URL of the now hosted picture into your TubeNet post
3. Put after the URL of the picture (you can do this manually or highlight the entire picture url and hit the "Img" button on the "post a reply" screen)
4. Preview the post to make sure you did it correctly
5. Edit as needed to correct your mistakes

I would also be willing to post the pictures for you (via my photobucket account) if you emailed them to me.

I'll give it a try, but I'll hold for a couple days - the tuba is out on trial...

Oh - and someone reminded me to mention that the 2nd and 3rd valves were converted to rotate in the same direction as the 1st and 2nd for consistant legato.
