GMO foods

Post by MaryAnn »

Ok, I know most of you on the FJ are solidly in the back pocket of the AMA and Big Pharma, but for the few of you who aren't, you may be concerned about pending legislation that will make it impossible for you to find out if the food you are eating contains genetically modified ingredients. I won't go into a big harangue about it, just post the web site for those of you who would like to do what you can.

http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/index.php

There is a video on the site about Codex, and a lot of information for the interested.

I realize I can't avoid a "this is crap-ola" FJ discussion but chances are that I won't participate in one. Been there, done that, got the T shirt.

Thanks MA!

(where can I get a "this is crap-ola" FJ discussion T-shirt!?)
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

My wife and I raise some of our own stuff, and try to buy locally from people we know.

I figure if the big outfits will sell you cat food with Chinese rat poison, they probably wouldn't flinch at selling the same stuff in your chicken nuggets.

Didja know that the big thing in the poultry business now is raising and slaughtering chickens here in the US and sending them to China for processing--and then shipping the processed bits and pieces back for US consumption?
