David Kutz Solo appearances (in Canada)

Post by Kutz »

Hi all...

For those who are in the Hamilton Ontario area this weekend, I will be performing with the Burlington Teen Tour Band (my first musical ensemble) in celebration of their 60th Anniversary. The concert will take place at Hamilton Place (downtown Hamilton) and I believe that it begins at 3pm. I will be playing dixieland with some of the alumnus of the BTTB and also playing Monti Czardas (in some sort of form..) This trip has been graciously sponsered by Yamaha Canada(Thank you!)

I will be then going to Montreal to give a masterclass and recital at McGill University (Dennis Miler, teacher). The recital will be on Thursday April 5 in the afternoon (location…not certain as of yet but in the Music building). The recital will be in the afternoon and as I understand will follow directly after the class. For more information, contact McGill University, Sasha Johnson http://www.mcgill.ca/music/performance
I will be performing:

Szentpali Allegro con Fuoco
Cheetham Sonata
Saglietti Concertissimo
Eccles Sonata
Emler Tubastone no.1
Tuba duo (with Dennis Miller)
Then...certainly somehing to drink after (maybe at Biddles??)

Any and all are welcome. Thanks for the interest.

The recital and class will be held in the Worth opera studio. It is located on the -2 level (basement) of the new music building and is a wonderful performance space.

Second that. I went to grad school with him and he was always several levels above all of us. Incredible work ethic.
