I don't know of any all-inclusive serial number list for Mirafone/Miraphone tubas. You might give them a shout directly at:

A direct contact to Miraphone worked for me with a
serial number/date of manufacture question. A company
rep replied quickly with a very nice reply to my
serial number query about my new 186. Go for it.

Good advice, Tinker Dan. I contacted Miraphone directly and got a reply in less than 19 hours. The person responding is at this e-mail address:

eva.staudinger@miraphone.de

My Miraphone 188 CC has a serial number 9020075, and Ms. Staudinger (a sales assistant) informed me that the instrument was manufactured in November 2002.

:) I wonder how Eva will handle 500 serial number/date requests over the next few days!

She figured out the year and model of my "unidentifiable" tuba but no one seems to know what it is. :( *model 1270*)

Send a few pictures to my email address.... dschultz@sigecom.net ... I would like to see some close-ups of the bracing and the valve section... especially the valve caps and finger buttons. If the horn has harness loops or a lyre holder, the comfiguration of the backing plates might be interesting, too.

Is just the bell marked 'Mirafone/Miraphone'?... or does that appear on the body, too?
