Great Tuba photo on Smith Barney booklet

Post by Frank Byrne »

I have been meaning to post this -- when visiting an office Smith Barney Citigroup investments, I saw the cover of this brochure discussing charitable giving. Great photo!

Nice 3 valve compensator. Along with the Conn 14K Sousaphone probably the most in tune tuba ever made.

Chuck"who has owned two and found them to be better instruments than alot of "pedigree" horns, especially after sawing off the "Nussknocker"Jackson

Owning the one (Besson) and having access at will to the other (Conn Cavalier -- predecessor to the 14k, but the same horn), I agree absolutely. Especially if you take the upper 1st valve loop of the 14k and turn it into a slide for the usual cuprits.
