I'm not gonna contribute, because I can't come-up with a satisfying list of favorites. Different music suits for different moods, and with a library approaching ~2000 titles, it's just too hard. So, what if I could have only one? That's too hard also........ How could I live with only one FZ album? Sure.... Uncle Meat would be near the top for sure...along side of Lather, The Yellow Shark, Freak Out, One Size Fits', and prolly Civ.Phaze III. How could I live with only one album of A.Copland, Miles Davis, Dallas Wind Symphony, Henry Threadgill, David Torn, Arvo Part, Bill Frisell, JSBach, John Coltrane, Nick Didkovsky, Chicago Symphony, Cake, Bill Laswell, Paul Hindemith, Meridian Arts Ensemble, Stravinsky, John Mclaughlin, King Crimson, Sonny Rollins, Vaughan Williams, or even Led Zeppelin ....etc......bla-bla-bla-bla-bla....?

I couldn't come up with one favorite out of my collection, either. It's all about my mood when I want some music.
I saw it in someone's list - pretty much anything by the 6 Fat Dutchmen when I want some great tuba.
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing when it's Friday afternoon and I'm finally on my way home from work.
Miles Davis -Birth of the Cool when I want my smooth jazz fix.
Dave Brubeck - Time Out when I want some feel good jazz.
Kansas - Dust in the Wind when I'm a little depressed and want to wallow in it.
Anything by Mary Prankster when I'm feeling raunchy. (We miss you Mary. )
The usual Stones, Beatles and 60's rock, whatever album it's on.
Anything on any of the Brave Combo albums when I want polka with attitude.
And so on.
It's Friday, now where did I put that mp3 player and the Sultans of Swing?

Beatles: White Album and Abbey Road--someday remixed for 5.1 Surround Sound in their original sequence (not altered for Cirque du Soleil)
Prokofiev: Alexander Nevsky: Eugene Ormandy, Philadelphia Orchestra, Mendelssohn Club Chorus, on RCA 4-Channel Surround Sound reel-to-reel tape (although I'll happily accept a cleaned-up multi-channel SACD or DVD-Audio of this analog recording)
