Maybe you younger guys don't remember him, but Tom Poston was one of my heroes as I growing up in the 1960s. Back in those days, he was doing Broadway plays in New York, but we saw him on TV game show panels, on shows like To Tell the Truth, What's My Line, and I've Got a Secret. I think the first time I ever saw him act was on Mork and Mindy, with Robin Williams and Pam Dawber.
On the game shows, Tom didn't always seem so bright but we could all relate to him. As a comic actor, he was entertaining.
We miss you, Tom!

I don't know that I would call him one of my heroes but I did like his performances on the game shows. "To Tell The Truth" was one of my favorites.
BTW: Kitty Carlile, another regular on TTTT just passed away also. I remember as a kid being so surprised that she had ever done anything but that game show.
