**SOLD** Miraphone 187 BBb with MTS case - $4000

**SOLD** 3 year old Miraphone 187 4v BBb in Excellent condition with an MTS 1209V hard case also in Excellent condition. I paid about $5500 for horn and case when I bought from Roger Lewis at Brasswind (still have original invoice). It was recently serviced and chemically cleaned. One tiny dent in front of bell that does not show in photos and some minor scratching. The horn is located in Tucson, AZ. Of course I'd be willing to ship, but would rather avoid it if possible.

This is a great horn for the non-performance major college student or the “serious amateur" who plays in advanced wind ensembles and community orchestras. It's like a 186 on steroids - has a broader sound and can take much more air/volume. Here is a link with more particulars if you are not familiar with the 187: http://www.music123.com/Miraphone-187-4 ... 3064.music I like to think of it as a "lite" Kaiser tuba.

Reason for selling: Times are tough, and I'm not actively playing in any groups. I'm looking to sell it outright, or possibly trade (with cash back) for an old model 2340/1 King Bell-Up or 2XJ Conn Bell-Up front action or ???

OK, I'll quit blabbing and post up some pix:

Yeah, I am enjoying it. Thx for the links. I look through all the online sources (Dillon's, BB, both Dans, *bay) all the time. Once I get the sale squared away, I'll bank some cash and then start the hunt for replacement contrabass. Looking to spend $1000 - 1500 for older 4/4 ish BBb horn, see my sig. Still trying to sell my sousa. Local shop not real motivated to move it for me, so look for an ad on that soon...
