I was wondering what he meant, myself. I am quite sure there are some tuba players who are wanted. I'm not quite sure what "in the Chicago" means. The Big Ben wrote:Now, *there's* a come on line....Bob1062 wrote:I was wondering if any fellow tuba players in the Chicago are wanted to join me for a beer.

This is probably better than having to listen to some young guy complain he is being chewed out.Bob1062 wrote:I was wondering if any fellow tuba players in the Chicago are wanted to join me for a beer.
Instead, I'm getting chewed out by old men. Whatever.
Wait a minute! Is this a troll?

Let this be a lesson that drunk dialing/posting/any type of socializing with people who barely know you/dont wanna know you is not good and should never be done again.

I remember watching some grand prix races where Alain Prost won.
Oh, wait, you were probably referring to urban definitions #s 1 & 2.
Anyway, the next time I'll be having a beer is Memorial Day after playing with the band at the nearby national cemetary for the customary morning concert, posting, addresses and observances.
And with Doc as well as Bob in mind, it is going to be a German brand I've never tried before: Wernesgruener. Well, at least according to them, it is a premium legendary pilsner. I'll let you all know.
I'll just stick with "Cheers!"

I have had Pilsner Urquell. Indeed a fine beer. The Wernesgruener just happened to be what my folks picked up for the Monday dinner. So it's good AND it's on someone else's tab! (Yeah, yeah...my turn next....)
We have a good liquor store chain in the area that has a good international wine & beer center not too far away. Over time, I'll have to try some of the others you recommend.
Hey Bob -- in moderation!

Yes, Schlafly's is here in several places. It's alright, but not my favorite.
If any of you are ever in Springfield, Missouri, let me know, and I'll take you to the Springfield Brewing Company, our local brewpub/restaurant, which has great local brews from the lightest wheats, through the pale to medium ales, to the darkest stouts, and great seasonal varietals. We'll start with the usual 6-glass sampler tray each and go from there. My treat. The food is good as well.
