I have to congratulate you because I didn't think it was possible for an 11 yr old as large as yourself to chase a pig for three hours in hilly terrain. Well done, fat boy! For real though. In this state (and, I suspect other ranching states) a dog that runs down and attacks livestock is condemned. Neither the owner of the livestock nor the dog have much to say about it--once the law is involved, the process is pretty much automatic.
