Solo Mouthpieces for BBb tuba?

Post by BriceT »

Hey everyone, I am looking around for a new mouthpiece. I want it to be primarily used for solos with lots of high register and tough technical sections.

I am looking for something that isn't as small as a mouthpiece used for F or Eb tubas, but not as large as... say an LM-7 or PT-xx.

I have never looked at products like this before, so advice would help a lot!

I'm using an LM-7, but I want something a little shallower. I have a school-owned YBB-641, so I don't think the Baer or Sass would work on my tuba.

Ya those might work. What do you think of the Canadian Brass Arnold Jacobs or The Roger Bobo Solo mouthpiece?
