Pokorny Recital June 15

The first one will be on Friday, June 15, 2007 at the Merit School of Music, 38 South Peoria Street, in Chicago. It will be at Gottlieb Hall within the Merit School at 5:30 PM.
The second one will be on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at the Congregational Church/ United Church of Christ in Middlebury, Vermont at 4 PM.
The recitals will (mostly) include music by Luedeke, Bach, Prokofiev, Plog, Pierce, Vaughan Williams and Stevens.
A notable event at the Vermont recital is that it will include the official premiere of the piano and tuba version of "Monument" by John Stevens. This piece was commissioned by Roger Bobo in memory of his friend and fellow tuba colleague, Tommy Johnson. The world premiere of the original version (for tuba and strings) is not as yet officially scheduled.
