Whilst looking for a new laptop, I'm considering an aircard option for internet access. It seems that the two main players around here (Chicago) are Verizon and AT&T (f/k/a Cingular). My sister has Verizon that she uses with her Dell. I'm currently a CingulATT customer so getting a Verizon card will require me switching cell phone service, something I'm not real excited about.
My tech savvy is about four or five years behind the times, so what do you mobile warriors use?
BTW, I'm partial to Thinkpads (f/k/a IBM now Lenovo) for laptops and am looking at either a T60/61 or something in the R series. If I get this, I may have a 7 year old Thinkpad in great shape for sale cheep.
Laptop internet - AT&T or Verizon

I have both At&T and Verizon cards. I switched to AT&T from Verizon because my email and everthing else is AT&T. Both work fine. Verizon may be a smidge faster in downtown Atlanta, but out in the burbs they are about equal. I get much better service in the rural areas with AT&T, more towers. the email on AT&T is much easier to make work reliably than Verizon.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.
