looking for american brass quintet music

my brass quintet, The Raven Brass, will be playing four, 1 hour long recitals for 4 universities in china. we've been asked to play music written by american composers. like i said, i would need an hour worth of music. any help is appreciated!

Empire Brass has a set of pieces from the American Brass Band Journal. These are old pieces from the Civil War era. marches , quicksteps, hail Columbia, stuff like that, lots of fun to play.

Does Canadian count? He is North American at least? Suite from Monteregian Hills by Morley Calvert
Also some works by Frackenpohl (Canadian I think)

American Fanfare by John Wasson

There are two great arrangments which the Empire Brass have recorded, I believe Jack Gale wrote them. One is music from Porgy & Bess by Gershwin and the other is a suite from West Side Story by Bernstein. Two standards in the repertoire. Can't get more American than that!
Gale also did a Sound of Music medley.

There are a few arrangements out of Simple Gifts or some of the Copland ballet pieces like Hoedown and Rodeo, etc.

Copland: Most of ballet pieces from Copland are unavailable legally. Getting permission to make arrangements of Copland pieces is very difficult. On the other hand, Erik Morales has 3 pieces by Copland published through Boosey and Hawkes:

Promise of Living

How about some jazz music? There are many charts by Ellington that are quite good.

A couple of years ago I received permission for a version of Rhapsody in Blue for Quintet. On my site, it is BVD 182. It is a very fine chart and would probably go over quite well on a tour!

I have a recording of what I recall is the Empire Brass (but it may have been someone else) playing quintet arrangements of well-known Gershwin tunes. The highlight was "An American in Paris". Rhapsody in Blue accompanies a piano soloist.

Obviously, it's not easy stuff.

There are also many, many quintet arrangements of Fillmore and Sousa marches.
