Semi hard cases

Post by Tubaryan12 »

TFJ,

Does anyone have any experience with this type of semi hard case:

It doesn't have to be from this seller. I just want to know your experiences. PM me if you like to not clutter up the board.

I have had experience with Dalyan cases. I like them very much.

Semi hard cases

I like the Dalyan cases better than I do the Dalyan tubas. It seems to be a very well-made case. I used one for about a month last fall. I don't have any knowledge of their durability, but it appears that would be good, also.

I've emailed Dalyan but no reply as of yet. Any other experiences?

The Allora line of tubas come with cases that look like that. It was an ok case for what I needed at the time, but the wheels were very cheap and broke off with no way to fix them. The case itself. . .was a little better than a gig bag, but was very easy to break. My case was sitting on the floor and I walked past tripped and used the case to steady myself and heard the outer shell crack, but it didn't give way to hurt the tuba. With the exception of the wheels I was happy with the case.
