It's only for PS2 and Xbox, but a relatively unknown game with a good mix of arcade action, puzzle solving, and role playing adventure is Beyond Good and Evil. Although the title suggests something ominous, the game is rather light. The PS2 version (don't know about the Xbox version) has a bug that happens on rare ocassions where one of your sidekick characters will fall off the game map and disappear. This will require you to restore from a save point to get the character back before continuing. Once, I had both sidekick characters disappear. In spite of that, I recommend the game.

Hmm; not sure. There are more Gamestop/EB Games stores than there are Wal-Marts, though.
Personally, I have an aversion to Wal-Mart, and I'm not sure I would have given them my money for a Wii anyway (even though the store's profit margin is supposed to be only 25 bucks or so).

Yeah...after much searching, I finally nabbed mine at Best Buy about a month ago. Unfortunately, I was locked into getting one from them, because I had gift cards. Probably could've had one sooner if I went elsewhere. Oh well...lesson learned.
The machine itself is fantastic. I am having a blast! I haven't had this much fun with a video game in a very, very long time.

I am a XBOX 360 man myself, but I will buy a Wii if they develop a game like that.
I have been patiently awaiting the eventual release of Star Wars: Force Unleashed, which they seem to keep getting bumping back the release date. As of right now, GameStop has it listed as shipping on 2/1/08. It was originally hyped to be only for PS3, but it has been announced as a 360 title as well.

If interested, youtube has some game footage that looks really good.

Awesome!! Always glad to hear of another Guitar Hero junkie.Greg wrote:I have grown tired/impatient waiting for guitar hero and ddr to come out on wii and I bought a PS2 and got guitar hero with it. My wife wants ddr so I'm sure we will have it within a week.
Guitar hero is awesome. In fact, I've been playing it about a half hour a day and getting pretty dangerous. I am finding that my sight reading skills on tuba are improving without devoting any attention to it! Fantastic, now maybe I can write the ps2 and guitar off as a job expense on my taxes........or maybe not.
Guitar Hero 3 is due out on October, from what I hear. Looks like you'll be in the same boat I'm in...PS2, or Wii??? On the Wii, you'll have access to all the downloadable stuff (new songs, etc.), but on PS2, the issue for me is that I won't have to buy new controllers.

If it matters, DDR and GHIII are both out for the Wii. Super Mario Galaxies is imminent as well, along with several other must-have games. The Wii's finally hitting its stride, I'd say.Greg wrote:I have grown tired/impatient waiting for guitar hero and ddr to come out on wii and I bought a PS2 and got guitar hero with it. I can set you up with it on a Vic 20 or a Commodore 64, your choice.I'm a big fan of Donkey Kong!
For a nominal fee, of course.
