I owned one of these for around 8 or 9 years. It was a really good tuba.Beautifully built, good projection, normal slide pulling needed.Very heavy. The sound was a bit bland, but it served me well.If it were 6k for a new one,it would be much more popular.I've had many colleagues never understand why I sold it,and I wonder myself sometimes...It truly is the CC version of the very popular 822f...

It never ceases to amaze me how some horns are so damned pretty, but sound bad.
I've only played two of these, but they fell under that category with me. I likened the sound, personally, to playing a horn made out of wood. It just killed itself. Never played anything quite like it, hope to never again.

Not my favorite configuration
The one I tried played pretty well. What eliminated it was the placement of the valves. After a couple of minutes my fingers were tired. A few more and my wrist was very achy and sore. It wasn't just the tension of the springs, it was the angle the valveset acquired when I put the horn in a comfortable playing position. Bad ergonomics, really bad.
